GrowthBook is open source and warehouse-native, built for engineers, data teams, and product managers who define metrics in SQL on their own warehouse. CROforce is for marketing and growth teams who want experiments designed, built, and analyzed without standing up infrastructure first.

GrowthBook describes itself as "the warehouse-native platform used by modern product teams for experimentation, feature flags, and product analytics". That's an engineering-led setup and a strong one. It assumes you have the engineers, the warehouse, and the people to run the program. Here's where that difference shows up.
Self-hosting GrowthBook means running its Docker image, which bundles "a NextJS front-end, an ExpressJS API, and a Python stats engine", plus a MongoDB instance for credentials, cached results, and metadata. The open source plan is "Bring your own warehouse" with community support. That's a fair trade when you have a platform team. It's a blocker when you don't.
CROforce installs with one lightweight snippet on any platform. There's nothing to host and no warehouse to connect before your first test. On managed plans our developers build and QA the experiments, so your engineers stay on their own roadmap.

GrowthBook prices per seat: a free Starter tier for "Up to 3 users", Pro at "$40 / seat / month" for up to 50 users, and a custom Enterprise tier. Self-hosted open source is free with unlimited seats and community support. The visual editor is listed as a Pro addition, so the people who most need it are the ones who move you off the free tier.
Our pricing doesn't scale with headcount. The self-serve plan is $234 per month billed annually and includes the complete A/B testing suite. Managed plans start at $1,365 per month and add CRO, design, and developer hours, plus a set number of expert-executed tests each month.
GrowthBook's published plans list platform and support: community support on open source, and "Dedicated support & training" on Enterprise. Nobody on that list writes your hypotheses, designs the variants, or reads out the result. With unlimited experiments on every tier, the constraint isn't the license, it's who does the work.
CROforce supplies that work. Our team audits the site, builds the roadmap, designs and develops each experiment, monitors it live, and writes the readout. Managed plans commit to 2 or 4 expert-executed tests a month, plus 4 or 8 consulting hours and 4 or 8 developer support hours.
